J'ai un probleme, ma Caanoo est mort.. Quand je presse le button on, Je ne vois le logo GPH.. pas de tout!
J'ai effectuè un downgrade à la 1.0.6 mais evidenment j'ai fait des erreurs...
Je ai mis les fichiers de l'upgrade en la carte SD
Je ai allumé la console en appuyant sur R
Puis elle s'allume, je la éteins e... elle est mort
qu'est ce que je peux faire?
Je pense que c'est sa fin ((

The bootloader must be corrupted. I'm sure I already had this problem.
Connect it to your pc and be sure to have a 2gb sd card inserted with the last fw on it.
Keep the power button up (or down i don't remember) while pressing R for 30 seconds to turn it on.
It should boot.
or pressing all buttons while powering it.

yes, been a long time but memories are always so strong
I will try as you said, for sure the bootloader is corrupted, otherwise it should boot.
Is there any preferencies with fat32/fat16.. I mean how I should format the sd card?

Try fat32.

It should work with micro Sd.

when connected both while charging and when connected to pc it become red

so I leave the caanoo connected to pc
I put firmware on my sd
Then I power it keeping the on button up or down? and keep pressing r?
The only sign of life is the red led of charging battery...
Do you have already saved a caanoo with corrupted bootloader?

but is it important to put the Caanoo connected to a pc or is not relevant for this resurrection?

You remember to have solved the same problem some time ago? how do you did?

To be honest it's been a long time since i used my caanoo. This problem was solved by forcing the update.

If I connect caanoo wifi dongle to the console il d'allume! Donc I know that it is turned on...pretty helpful?

ED still repairs caanoo? How much does it will cost to have it fully recovered? I ask this because I found a gp2x wiz for 50 euro and I'm wondering about buying it... thanks for the help bafelton

seems to not do anything but I'm sure it still works because if you connect a wifi dongle or an usb key it starts blinkling...
Uff.. I emailed ED but he says to not being able to repair it because he never had caanoo unbrick tool.. (so there was a tool for this genre of problems.. is impossible to contact GPH old developers? I would like to ask them
